Ingredients
500 grams chicken
sesame seeds
Marinade
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
Batter
1/4 cup water or as needed
1/2 cup minus 1 Tbsp. flour
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1Tbsp. egg
2 tsp. oil
1/4 tsp salt.

Lemon Sauce
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. ginger, grated
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
pinch of salt
1 Tbsp. custard powder mixed with 1 Tbsp. water
Mix the batter ingredients and stir into chicken pieces. If needed add water a little at a time until a smooth but thick batter coats the chicken. No extra water should be needed though.
Heat oil for deep frying over medium high to high heat. place chicken pieces in the oil on at a time and fry until golden brown. You can fry up 10 plus pieces at a time just place them in the oil one at a time. Fry until golden brown.
Heat wok over high heat. Add ginger, sugar and water and bring to a boil. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add in the lemon juice and pinch of salt and stir until smooth.
Mix the custard powder with 2 Tbsp. water and stir in. Whisk until the sauce has thickened.
