番茄牛肉面汤 Tomato Beef Noodle Soup

This is a delicious restaurant style Tomato Beef Noodle Soup. The broth is rich, flavorful and smooth on the tongue. The chunks of tomato and beef are tender and rich with flavor. It is a flavor experience you will never forget. The flavors of ginger, garlic, chili bean sauce, soy and rice wine marry so well with the tomato and beef. Delicious and unforgettable are the words that come to mind.

牛肉大葱饺子 Beef and Leek Dumplings

I love the flavors of beef and leek together. Just a wonderful combination that really shines in these dumplings. Another dish that combines these two ingredients is a Beef and Leek Stir-fry, click the link for another absolutely delicious recipe.

肥牛饭 Beef Rice Bowl

Paper thin slices of beef and onion simmered in a sweet and salty sauce flavored with rice wine, soy sauce, sugar and mirin. It is served poured over a bowl of hot rice. The delicious juices seep down into the rice for delicous flavor in every bite. For those of you who are familiar with Japanese Donburi dishes this is one of the many versions but with beef.

牛肉咖喱盖饭 Chinese Beef Curry

This is a very rich and deeply flavorful curry that is made from scratch. I am not putting down curry roux blocks at all, they are fast, delicious and convenient. But this from scratch recipe will blow your mind.

葱爆牛肉 Frangrant Beef And Leek Stir-fry

I love the flavor of this dish, pouring the oil that fried the ginger, garlic and leeks into the marinaded beef before it is cooked really enhances the flavors. My first trial run, where the beef was fried first, was not near as flavorful. This dish can also be done with lamb instead of beef.

黑胡椒牛柳 Black Pepper Beef

Most restaurants and even Chinese cooking shows use Lee Kum Kee's or some other brand of black pepper sauce so I had a hard time finding recipes for the sauce from scratch, but this one is delicious and well worth the extra two seconds spent and several bucks saved.

烘烤馅饼 Baked Meat Pies

I can't say delicious enough; flaky pastry encasing flavor bursting fillings. The first time I had these was in Beijing but they are from Taiwan. There were a handful of shops selling these in Beijing and the line ups were insane when ever we would go but they were well worth the wait.

红烧土豆牛肉 Braised Beef and Potato

This is a wonderfully flavored beef stew/stir-fry. It tastes like chinese flavored potroast over rice. The beef is so tender and stir-frying it in melted sugar really enhances it's flavor for a really robust beef flavor.

馕包肉 Fragrant Stew Over Naan

This is sooo delicious I can't describe it you are just going to have to try it. The flavors are so exotic yet it feels like comfort food. This is the closest thing to pizza that chinese food has to offer with a fusion of Chinese and Turkish flavors from the north-west of China. You can't leave out the Sichuan peppercorns on this one, they really kick up the exoticness of this dish and take it to the moon, I have never tried anything like it.

拉面 Xinjiang Style La Mien

La mien, as it is most commonly spelt in the west, directly translated just means pulled noodles but the variations on this dish are are endless. Xinjiang style la mien is the spaghetti of chinese cuisine. If you can get ahold of some fresh pulled noodles that would be the most authentic but if not Japanese udon noodles are probably the best substitute.
